Custom Furniture

On a boring summer day in 2012, I designed and built my very first piece of furniture. I constructed a 30" x 48" coffee table with an integrated and removable chess board, which revealed storage for chess pieces. To this day, I do not know where this idea came from, but after completing the custom table and making it perfectly level with the floor on the first try, I was hooked on building furniture. Ever since then, I've built even more tables for myself and my friends whenever the opportunity knocked.

There's almost no bigger rush for me than thinking up an design idea, drawing it out, going on a Home Depot run for materials, putting it all together, and making someone smile with a new, custom piece of furniture. The process of designing an object and building that object with my hands gives me joy every time.
