Life began on November 15th, 1987, at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, New Jersey. The first 10 years of my life were spent boogie boarding down the shore, playing baseball, and climbing big trees all in my hometown with my dad's entire side of the family. Once or twice a year, I would also head up to Vermont to be with my mom's side of the family to ski and drink maple syrup by the gallon. My dad worked as an auditor in the gaming industry for my entire childhood, but in March 1998, all of us packed up and moved to Las Vegas for his new auditing opportunity awaiting him. For the next 8 years, I would adapt to the much dryer and hotter climate and spend the rest of my youth becoming involved with my church, gaining a taste for international travel through a student ambassador program, and being the best student I could with my love for learning.

The next big chapter in my life began in 2006 when I accepted admission to the architecture program at Philadelphia University in Philadelphia (currently Thomas Jefferson University). The combination of living on my own for the first time, being immersed in centuries worth of architectural history, and being exposed to a whole new world of design, transformed me in many possible ways I could never imagine before. On top of that, I had the extreme pleasure of spending 4 months in Rome for a semester abroad and surrounding myself in arguably one of the most architecturally significant cities in the world. It was here, too, that I was deprived of a microwave for the first time ever and had learn how to cook immediately. It turned out I loved cooking for myself and others and using it as another outlet for creativity outside of the classroom. I still cook to this day, and it is one of my favorite hobbies. I am very thankful I had my 5 years in Philadelphia and Rome, it shaped me into a very different person for the better and helped prepare myself for the professional design world.

After graduation, I packed up my things and made my final cross-country drive back to Las Vegas. Almost immediately after my return, I started my first day in the pool and landscape industry at Courtney Landscape & Pools, an alternative to landing a position at an architecture firm which was non-existent during the Great Recession, especially in Nevada. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that I didn't enjoy this line of work, and even more so, I disliked my primary role in this industry of being a salesman. I left voluntarily but accepted a job shortly thereafter at the more high end and more reputable pool and landscape company Poolscapes, LLC, for which I interned during the summer of 2009. I actually enjoyed my internship duties at Poolscapes producing 2D and 3D renderings; however, the full time position I was given the second time around stirred up the same challenges and emotions as the prior position. I decided to voluntarily leave Pooslcapes, too, but not without the knowledge of tactics of salesmanship, how to design, and how to listen to a client's needs. Though I no longer have interest in the world of pool and landscape design, I am thankful for this short chapter in my life and still carry the ksills I learned with me to this day.

After saying goodbye to the pool and landscape world in 2012, I happily accepted my very first architectural position at DPA Architects in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was not an option to begin my architecture career with Nevada being so hard-hit by the economy, so I took a risk and moved to another state. At DPA, I worked almost exclusively on restaurant projects. Being the green rookie to the profession that I was, I had no idea I was getting myself into the complexities and challenges that come with restaurant design, but after working for DPA for over 3 years, I found out I enjoyed this type of work and would like to get back into it again in the future.

Today, I am back in Las Vegas again as a registered architect living and working in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson. I am a Project Architect working for TSK Architects, AIA Nevada's Firm of the Year in 2019, and have worked on a multitude of project types since joining in August 2016. Since joining, I have applied my architectural knowledge and skills for mostly higher education and public projects with the City of Henderson. Most recently, I have worked with the City of Henderson renovating a preschool at a local recreation center, my first project after becoming registered in January 2020.

When I'm not in the office (or in the guest room during the COVID-19 pandemic), I like to travel the country and the world, hike the many trails Las Vegas has to offer, build furniture for my home, and cook up creative meals for family and friends. I enjoy doing all of this with my girlfriend Jenn, a graphic design solutions business owner and children's book author.
